2. What are the requirements of the Spanish Digital Nomad Visa?

- The employment must be able to be done remotely, accompanied by accredited documentation.
- The employee’s company must have been operating for at least one year in real and legitimate work. You must have a contract with that same company for at least 1 year
- In terms of a relationship between an employee and an employer, there must be given evidence of this relationship for at least 3 months before the application. Evidence that the employee is permitted to work remotely is also needed.
- The company must be based outside of Spain.
- Incomes received by Spanish companies can’t represent more than 20% of the total
- Contract with that same company for at least 1 year
- You must prove that of the total income, the part coming from Spain does not represent more than 20%
- You mustn’t have criminal records or be banned from Spain. For that, you must submit your criminal records certificate with a minimum validity of 90 days.
- Include a declaration of no criminal record for the last 5 years.
- The academic and professional profile of the applicant must be sufficient. And here there are 2 different options. First, to have graduated from a prestigious university or business school; or, second, demonstrate previous working experience of at least 3 years.
- You will have to fill out the application form.
- Pay the corresponding administrative fee, administrative fee number (790 038).
- Hire private health insurance, with full coverage throughout Spain
- Financial means must be at least 200% of the monthly Spanish national minimum wage (approximately £2140 per month or £25700 per year).
